COMMANDER'S MESSAGE
Dear Members and Community Friends,
I hope this message finds you well. It is with great excitement that I address you as the new commander of American Legion Liberty Post 122. Additionally, please join me in welcoming our newly elected officers as they take on their vital roles within our Post and the surrounding community.
As we embark on this new chapter, we want to reaffirm our commitment to the core values that guide the American Legion: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth. These four pillars not only define our mission but also shape our actions and initiatives as we strive to serve both our members and the greater community.
Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation: As Commander, I am dedicated to advocating for the rights and benefits of our veterans. I will continue to provide support, resources, and camaraderie to all who have bravely served our nation.
National Security: In a world that constantly changes, our commitment to safeguarding our freedoms remains steadfast. We will work collaboratively to ensure that our community understands the importance of national security and the role we all play in preserving it.
Americanism: As we celebrate our shared values and heritage, I aim to foster a sense of unity and patriotism among our members and the community. We will host events and programs that honor our flag, our history, and the sacrifices made for our freedoms.
Children & Youth: Our future lies in the hands of the next generation. I am passionate about investing in our youth, creating opportunities for them to learn, grow, and develop into responsible citizens. Liberty Post 122 will continue to champion programs that support and empower children in our community.
We invite all members and community members to join us in our new endeavors. Together, we can strengthen our Post and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those around us.
Stay tuned for upcoming events and initiatives that will allow us to come together and uphold the values of the American Legion. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our mission.
Warmest Regards,
Jonas Garland, Commander
