Commander, American Legion Post 122

Hello members of American Legion Post 122 and Esteemed Community,

I am honored to address you as the Commander of American Legion Post 122, and I am excited about the journey that lies ahead for our post and our community. As we embark on this new year, it is essential to reflect on the core values that have shaped the legacy of the American Legion and, by extension, Post 122.

Our commitment to the American Legion's Four Pillars—Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, Children & Youth—serves as the guiding force behind our efforts to create a positive impact in the lives of our members and the broader community. Let us delve into each pillar and explore how Post 122 is championing these causes:

Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation:

At the heart of our mission is the unwavering support for our veterans, the brave men and women who have selflessly served our nation. Post 122 provides a haven for veterans, fostering camaraderie, and ensuring that our heroes receive the respect and care they deserve. From assisting with VA claims to organizing events that celebrate their sacrifices, we stand united in honoring our veterans.

National Security:

As stewards of national security, we understand the importance of a strong defense. Post 122 actively engages in advocating for policies that prioritize the well-being of our military personnel and their families. By promoting a robust defense strategy, we contribute to the safety and security of our nation.

Post 122 proudly promotes Americanism by fostering a deep love for our country and its ideals. From community events that celebrate our nation's history to initiatives that promote civic engagement, we aim to instill a sense of pride and responsibility in every member of our community.

Children & Youth:

Our commitment to the youth is an investment in the future. Through educational programs, and mentorship initiatives, Post 122 strives to empower the next generation. We believe that by shaping young minds, we can cultivate responsible citizens who will carry forward the values of patriotism and service.

As we look ahead, I invite you to join hands with us on this journey of service, camaraderie, and community building. Whether you are a long-standing member or someone interested in supporting our mission, your involvement makes a difference.
